We are very excited about our new online store and we hope you will, too. Allowing Book Stop’s customers to browse and purchase books online will allow us to keep our "doors" open 24 hours a day. That means that, theoretically, you can shop for books in your skivvies at 3:00 in the morning, which is way better than you coming into my store in your underwear at any time of the day.
But, as magical and convenient all of this technology can seem, the internet can’t do everything and falls short of human abilities in many situations. That's why WE are here; to answer your questions, to remember what you loved reading and what you hated, and to help you find the book that you didn't even know you wanted.
So, while none of us wants to mind the store at 3 am (or to be honest, to see you in your Underoos - see above), it is our responsibility to remind our valued customers to be aware of how things work here online.
About Stock Availability or "When can I get my book?"
You found a book you like listed online! That doesn't mean we actually have it in the store RIGHT NOW! Please don't order a book and come in 20 minutes later to get it. You may end up being very sad. We don't like that.
Our online store has access to the entire inventory of IngramBooks, one of our book distributors, which provides the widest selection and best availability to you, our customer. So, just because you see it in online, that does not mean that we have it "on the shelf” when you click; however, we can still order the book for you with the same speedy service to which you have become accustomed.
Also, our online store does not currently list our used book inventory, so we have an additional 12,000+ discount-priced used titles on our shelves which do not appear in our online store. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you need information about stock availability! Or actually come into the store. You may find the book you didn't know you were looking for!
Online ordering from Book Stop is so easy a monkey could do it (but don't give a monkey your credit card information. You know how they are). You can choose to have the book delivered directly to your address (a small shipping fee applies), or anywhere else in the world. Or if you want to see our beautiful smiley faces, you can choose to have your order delivered to the store at no extra cost for pickup at your convenience. Paying and picking up in the store also allows us to assist you with our world renowned book recommendations. Plus, you can still use any store credit or Gift Certificates you may have to pay for your purchase.
Special Orders
If you cannot find it on our shelves or in our web store, we will happily special order that hard-to-find used or new book for you. New books are usually available in 1-3 business days. Used book orders usually take 7-10 business days.
